The Ida B. Wells High School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) in Portland, Oregon is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive school community by championing teacher appreciation and support, funding student programs and scholarships, and backing impactful school events that benefit both. Guided by the values of collaboration, generosity, and community, the PTA strives to strengthen the bond between families, educators, school staff, and students. PTA - General Meetings
Join the PTA Board, Committee, and IBW parents for one of our PTA general meeting. All are welcome.
630 - 800 pm every other month, mostly on the second Monday, in the school library.

PTA Clothing Center Volunteers Needed
Two times a year, IBW volunteers at the PTA Clothing Center. The Clothing Center is a wonderful resource for students from across PPS, run entirely by volunteers and through donations. Clothing donations are also welcome. At this time of year, donations of coats, beanies, gloves, and boys size 10-16 sweatpants are especially requested. Items can be dropped off in the school office for district delivery.

Join other parents on Thursday, February 12, 6:30 pm in the IBW Library for a PTA-sponsored book discussion of The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt. Gain practical insights, share perspectives, and walk away with ideas of how to better support your child.
All are invited to join the conversation, whether you’ve finished the book, meant to read it, or just want to hear about it!
